Berkeley hosts many innovation-related events each year. In addition to the upcoming gatherings highlighted on the Berkeley Innovators home page, here are some annual or recurring events that may be of interest to entrepreneurs.


Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum

Brings together students and the Bay Area community to meet with and learn from seasoned entrepreneurs.

Berkeley Entrepreneurship Week

Held in late November, Berkeley Entrepreneurship Week brings together students, alumni and community members for a series of networking events, pitches, demos and discussions geared to equipping students with the resources and connections to jumpstart their startup careers.

Cal Hacks

Yearly hackathon for students interested in creating new software and hardware products. Lasts 36 hours and takes place in the fall semester.

CSUA Weekly Hack+

Sundays at 4pm in the Wozniak Lounge in Soda Hall. Snacks provided. Occasionally sponsored by startups and industry leaders.

EECS Events

From tech talks to career info sessions, the EECS calendar is packed with events and resources for students, scholars, and alumni.

Open Innovation Speaker Series

A weekly series intended to provide both academic and managerial perspectives on open innovation and related subjects.

Special Events in Entrepreneurship

This event series (formerly the Entrepreneurial Best Practices Series) features practitioners from the UC Berkeley and Silicon Valley communities who come to Berkeley-Haas to speak about the practical aspects of entrepreneurial activity.
