Bakar Fellows Program

Fosters the entrepreneurship of early career-stage faculty in the STEM+ fields including Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Architecture. On a competitive basis, Bakar Fellows are awarded discretionary research support to mature & translate their ground-breaking discoveries and innovations into commercial solutions.

Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry

The mission of the BCGC is to bring about a generational transformation toward the design and use of inherently safer chemicals and materials. BCGC is building a novel academic program to advance green chemistry through interdisciplinary scholarship, which consists of faculty, researchers, and students in the College of Chemistry, School of Public Health, College of Engineering, College of Natural Resources, the Berkeley School of Law, and the Haas School of Business.

Berkeley Center for Law and Business

Of special interest to the Cal innovation community is the Berkeley Center for Law & Business (BCLB), Berkeley Law’s hub for rigorous, relevant, and empirically based research, education, and programming on the interrelationships of the law, business, and the economy. Their areas of focus include venture capital and entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.

Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS)
